The pension plan of the PCN Pension Fund offers the possibility of advancing and deferring retirement. Advance retirement If you are born in 1953, you can advance your retirement up to a maximum of two years and let your pension commence earlier than on the standard retirement age (as of 60 years). If you retire earlier, please take into account that your pension accrual is reduced in time and that the accrued pension has to be paid out over a longer period of time. Hence, your pension benefit will be less.
|Date of Birth:||Standard Retirement Age:||Advanced Retirement Age:|
|Before 1 January, 1953||60 years||60 years|
|1953||62 years||60 years|
|1954||63 years||60 years|
|1955||64 years||60 years|
|As of 1 January, 1956||65 years||60 years|
You can also defer your retirement (in consultation with your employer and provided that you continue working) after the AOV retirement age, but ultimately with 5 years. Deferral of your pension benefit can result in a considerably higher pension income. Your pension benefit starts later and is paid out over a shorter period.
