You receive a pension

If you already receive a pension benefit from the PCN Pension Fund, you find practical information about your pension e.g. about the payment data of the pension and what you needs to happen if you move abroad.

Payment data

As soon as you are entitled to pension, you always receive your pension benefit at the end of the month. Holiday allowance is not paid separately, but has already been included in your pension benefit. You receive a pension benefit statement each month.

Final date benefit

The retirement pension is a lifelong benefit and stops at the last day of the month in which you die. Since we are not automatically informed about your death we will ask you to send us a life certificate each year. You can have the local register of civil status, or a local notary, complete the 'life certificate' (Bewijs van in leven zijn). This form must be sent to us each year. If this does not happen we will stop payment of your retirement pension.

Annual statement

If you are retired, you receive an annual statement of the pension fund in which it has been laid down exactly how much pension you received in the previous year and what has been deducted for taxes and social insurances. You can use the annual statement for your tax return.

Move

If you move, you need to inform the Pension Fund yourself in writing. You can also receive your pension abroad. Depending on which country you live, you pay taxes in the Dutch Caribbean region or not. With a number of countries the Dutch or the Dutch Caribbean government has made arrangements that you pay taxes in those countries and not in the Netherlands/Dutch Caribbean region. If you move to one of those countries you need to contact the pension fund to discuss your situation. Please contact the Tax Authorities for more information (+599 717 8333).

Commutation of pension

If the surrender value of your accrued retirement pension is less than $ 123.32 per month (2013) on your retirement date, your entire pension is paid out to you as a lump sum.
