Your pension

You are accruing pension with the PCN Pension Fund or have done so in the past. On this page you can find out more on the contents of this pension plan. Participation in the pension plan of the PCN Pension Fund entitles you to:

  • Income for the future: this is your retirement pension and commences at the state retirement age.
  • Income for your surviving dependants in the event of your death: partner pension and orphan's pension.
  • Income in the event of occupational disability: the disability pension.

Income for the future

From the government: AOV
If you are born before 1 January, 1953, you will receive a retirement state benefit (AOV) as of 60 years. If you are born on of after 1 January, 1953, the AOV age will be increased. In 2021 the AOV age will be increased to 65 years. The pension from your pension fund is paid in addition to the AOV benefit. Please go to www.rijksdienstcn.com for more information.

From your Pension Fund: retirement pension
if you are born before 1 January, 1953, you will receive a retirement benefit from your pension fund as of 60 years. If you are born on or after 1 January, 1953, the retirement age will be increased. Please visit pension from the government for more information. As from the retirement date you receive a lifelong monthly pension benefit from the pension fund.

Income for surviving dependants

From the government: AWW
In the event of your death, your partner and/or children may be entitled to a state benefit by virtue of the Widow and Orphan's Benefits Act, the AWW. AWW is short for 'Algemene Weduwen- en Wezenwet'. Your partner should apply for these benefits with the Dutch Caribbean government department which administers the AWW on behalf of the government. From your Pension Fund: surviving dependant's pension
When accruing retirement pension, you also accrue partner and orphan's pension for your surviving dependants. The dependant's and orphan's pension is linked to the retirement pension that you could have accrued if you had continued participation in the pension plan until the retirement date. Your income in the event of occupational disability

From the government: sickness benefit
If you become occupationally disabled due to illness, you are entitled to sick pay after the third day of reporting ill up to a maximum of two years. The BES medical insurance is administered by the Dutch Caribbean government department.

From the Pension Fund: disability pension
If you are occupationally disabled, you qualify for a disability benefit from the Pension Fund under certain conditions.
